Oxidium Technologies | On-Demand, Endlessly Versatile Chlorine Dioxide Generation
Introducing Aseptrol

Aseptrol®. On-Demand, Endlessly Versatile Chlorine Dioxide Generation.

Aseptrol® packages powerful Chlorine Dioxide generation into a shelf-stable precursor that activates on contact with water or ambient moisture, delivering chlorine dioxide on demand at any scale, from a single room to a full industrial system.

Why Aseptrol

Disinfection engineered to travel light.

No generators, no mixing, no guesswork. Aseptrol® puts chlorine dioxide anywhere it's needed, at a scale that runs from a single dental line to a full cooling tower circuit.

Self-Contained Generation

No on-site generation equipment. No electricity required. No climate-controlled storage.

Pre-Measured Dosing

The same measured input every time. No caustic liquids to handle, and no concentration guesswork. Tablet dosing reduces spill exposure compared to liquid concentrates.

Scales Down as Well as Up

From dental water lines to cooling tower circuits.

Multiple Delivery Formats

Tablets, sachets, powders, and vapor-phase generators.

EPA-Registered Portfolio

Fifteen EPA-registered formulations spanning eleven application areas.

Clean Degradation

Breaks down to chloride ions, water, and oxygen.

Independently Verified

Aseptrol chemistry has been evaluated in independent university and industry research for more than a decade and featured in peer-reviewed studies.

Why Chlorine Dioxide

The Power of Chlorine Dioxide,
Wherever It Matters Most.

Chlorine dioxide is a broad-spectrum EPA-registered chemistry category, used wherever recirculating water, enclosed air, or facility surfaces need consistent microbial control. Here's where it's already at work.

Livestock facility
EPA 70060-19, 70060-30

From lab animal facilities to production barns, biosecurity is a compliance line, not a preference. Chlorine dioxide chemistries are registered disinfectants and virucides across research, veterinary, and livestock settings.

View Application
Water treatment equipment
EPA 70060-19

Ice machines, softener resin beds, and potable tanks all host the same slow biofilm buildup. Chlorine dioxide chemistries are registered for use directly in the equipment that treats and holds water.

View Application
Dental unit waterlines
EPA 70060-25

Dental waterlines are narrow, low-flow, and easy for biofilm to colonize. This chemistry is purpose-built and registered specifically for that use site.

View Application
Drinking water and emergency preparedness
EPA 70060-22, 70060-26, 70060-33, 70060-27

When the water source is the problem, purification has to be immediate and require nothing but the tablet. Registered to kill at least 99.99% of bacteria and viruses and 99.9% of cysts, including Giardia and Cryptosporidium, within four hours, meeting EPA microbiological water purifier standards.

View Application
Transportation and fleet
EPA 70060-19

Transport vehicles and commercial fleets need surface disinfection that works between runs, not after a deep clean. Registered for hard, non-porous surfaces in commercial transport.

View Application
Food and beverage sanitation
EPA 70060-19, 70060-13

Food contact surfaces demand a disinfectant that clears without tainting product or requiring an extended rinse cycle. Aseptrol S10-Tab is registered as a 25 ppm chlorine dioxide sanitizer for hard, non-porous food-contact surfaces.

View Application
Greenhouse and controlled environment agriculture
EPA 70060-29

Irrigation and fertigation systems are prone to algae and microbial buildup that affects water delivery and crop health. Registered as a disinfectant, algaecide, bactericide, and fungicide for greenhouse and nursery water.

View Application
Industrial and cooling water systems
EPA 70060-28, 70060-16, 70060-29

Recirculating cooling systems accumulate bacterial, fungal, and algal growth that can affect water quality and system performance. Aseptrol chemistries are registered to control microbial growth in industrial water loops.

View Application
Healthcare and institutional surfaces
EPA 70060-19

Hospitals, clinics, ambulances, and institutional facilities need broad-spectrum disinfection that holds up to infection-control standards. Registered for hard, non-porous surfaces, including bloodborne pathogen protocols.

View Application
Modern swimming pool
EPA 70060-20

Recirculating pool and spa piping accumulates mold and slime that's difficult to treat without disrupting an existing sanitizer program. Registered to control it while staying compatible with chlorine, bromine, or metal-ion systems already in place.

View Application
Odor control and facility maintenance
EPA 70060-12, 70060-13

Drains, waste areas, and enclosed spaces develop slime and odor-causing microbial growth that's hard to reach with liquid disinfectants. Vapor-phase and tablet chemistries are registered to control that growth at the source.

The Benefits of Chlorine Dioxide

How chlorine dioxide works.

Chlorine dioxide is a true oxidizer. It reacts directly with the cell membranes and proteins of target organisms instead of substituting chlorine atoms into organic material, which is how free chlorine works. That mechanism is what produces the results below.

Broad-Spectrum Activity

Bactericidal, virucidal (including non-enveloped viruses), and tuberculocidal across a broad range of pathogenic organisms, including bacteria, enveloped and non-enveloped viruses, and Mycobacterium bovis.

Material Compatibility

Minimal corrosion on stainless steel and acrylic systems compared to oxidizers that generate free chlorine or lower-pH solutions.

pH-Independent Efficacy

Maintains biocidal efficacy across a wide pH range, unlike free-chlorine disinfectants, whose activity declines as pH rises toward alkaline conditions.

Occupational Safety Profile

In controlled testing, measured airborne concentrations during preparation and dispensing of a 100 ppm use-solution remained within OSHA permissible exposure limits under standard ventilation.

Proven Track Record

A proven chemistry with years of field validation, from a supply line you can trust.

Aseptrol® chemistry is manufactured and supplied through an established, continuous production line, with a track record partners can count on.

“MB-10 came through the BASF transition without a missed shipment or a formulation change—same line, same tablet, same registrations.”
